Had big issues with my 1998 Honda Accord LX Central Locking not working and Drivers control of the windows as well. On the 1998 Honda Accord LX Only the drivers window would work from the Drivers window switches. The fuses for all of the Accord's power windows were okay and the fuse for the Accord's central locking was okays.
So my research of the wiring diagram for the Honda Accord LX stated the central locking and power windows were all controlled by Multiplex Control Units. 1998 Honda Accord LX has 3 - 1 under the driver door switches and the two others behind the fuse boxes on left and right hand side of 98 Accord LX dashboard. Some might call the Honda Multiplex BCM (Body Control Modules). I was doing research into how much the Honda Accord Multiplex would cost to replace when I stumbled across the answer. Now my 98 Honda Accord Power Windows and Central Locking are fixed.

 Re: 98 Accord LX Coupe - driver & passenger power windows and mirror controls stop wo uhm there is a way to reset the multiplex. this is a common problem after power has been disrupted (IE changing a battery). set the intermittent wiper ring to the middle position and then turn the car on for 10 seconds and then turn off. stuff should start working again. |
